moving out of state/job search

You might try getting ahold of chamber of commerence in the city your looking at ask them for any infor on there city housing ,jobs they will mail you that info.

One can sign on with an OTR company that hires out of both states. Then move afterwards. That's the way I did my last move and it worked out pretty well. Then you can transfer your CDL afterwards. Where do you plan on moving?

 

Yep what condo cruiser said that's what my plan is trying to move from pa to florida.hard to find a job out of state without a address and a license from that state.figured I'd get a job otr that hires in both states then move it will be a lot easier problem is finding a otr company that's half descent most seem to want you to work for nothing and have slow trucks and elogs feel like I'm the only guy left to stand up to all the bs that's going on in this industry as long as someone will gladly get in the seat its only gonna get worse

 

If you decide to move to FL, make sure you stay north of Tampa. Been looking down here for over a year now, keep hearing the same thing, not hiring out of FL, or not hiring out of south FL. I'll probably be heading to ND. Have an old friend up there that says he can get me in truck out in the oilfields. Says I have a choice of ND or TX. I have family and history in ND, so I think ND here I come.
