Don't you work for a "Mega Carrier"?
It has been hard to get to IL,IN as long as I have been in this business, it can be done but it is hard. So much for "run where you want, when you want"
You need more contacts, those loads aren't going on load boards. Try GRC

Well I managed a load across the river to WI for $3. No tarps, not heavy.
As for loads out of Chicago, I don't do tarped loads and I'm not doing OS stuff anymore unless they provide the permits. I can still find 3-4 loads a day paying $3.50 to $4 mile going over 500 miles out. -
The last couple times I've been to Chicago have been dismal trying to get back to the Southeast. One of those was when when I talked to you and I was outside the Stockyards. I decided to get out of there right when the White Sox game ended and it was a nightmare! It used to be almost guaranteed I'd get good freight$$$ out of there.

Well hopefully I won't have to be worrying about it anymore. Got lined up on a 8 month job with round trip run out n back. We shall see if it holds up since the last few fell apart after getting them. Thankfully this time it is direct customer freight.
