i i recently worked for Caroll fulmer Trucking out of Groveland fla, afer orientation i was assigned a truck, (which i had to go to jacksonville and get from a truckstop) drove back to SC, dropped a trailer ,then on to NC where i live. I worked the following 2 weeks, and started on the third week, and they have not paid me a dime yet. id call my fleet manager, hed say call payroll, id call payroll, they said its processing, id call the recruiter that got me there, hed say be patient. To make a long story short i was there almost 4 weeks, and never got paid, so i parked the truck near my house and told them when they paid me, id drive. They never paid me, afer 2 weeks (making it almost 6 since orientation they came and got their truck, still no check! Also when i went to orientation the recruiter said if i wanted to fly, he pay back the bus ticket price, think i ever got it? not a dime! theyre cheap and they lie ,so beware!

Good luck fighting the abandonment. Any penny will be taken away for recovery.

I'm sorry, but I don't buy the story you never got paid. Not for them. Too many people I know over there that never had a payroll problem like that and I don't work for them...

i worked for them for 3 years i got my pay. i know one time it was a few days late. i had a check that was short so i called my terminal mngr he got in touch with groveland and they put the rest on my card. i never really delt with the groveland branch i was out of waco. it was alot smother there. i even had a couple of times where i couldnt get my paperwork scanned in time and after a phone call they went ahead and put it on my check. i did have some minor problems with them but no company is perfect. but it was always taken care of

It may have happened, but I still don't buy it. There is more to this story for you said you worked there for 2 weeks and essentially abandoned their truck. The first week I'm guessing was orientation and you probably advanced it. Second week you stated you parked truck, refusing to work, which any company would hold your payroll for. You have $150,000 worth of equipment held hostage that they have to pay someone else to retrieve. Because of that alone, you'll never see a penny... Plus I guarantee you ended your career for you have an abandonment on your permanent record. That's of course, if any of this is true because no one was there, but you.

Why didn't we get a pay advance? If payroll messed up they would advance you money in a heartbeat. Payroll problems can be fixed in hours not weeks. If they didn't pay you it was for a reason other than oops.

As an employee you can go to your state's Dept of Labor, Wage and Hour website and file an online complaint. That's how you are suppose to handle it, not burn bridges.

I had to moderate another thread that was inappropriate but I will bring this post forward from it.

You're right condo. It's not necessarily burning a bridge with them, it's having that abandonment mark on his DAC that will haunt him. I wish him luck...
