Hey, I'm looking for some info from those of yall in the Barnett Shale. I've been hauling water for nearly 5 years now, but I got my HAZMAT awhile back and haven't done anything with it yet. I check the Wise County Messenger, Hood County News and Craigslist for openings, but haven't had much luck yet. I'm so frustrated with my current company, I'm ready to make a switch right now. There are quite a few HAZMAT listings on CL, but mostly stuff that is just OTR/by the mile jobs, which I don't think is really my thing, I would rather get out and do some work during the day instead of spend it behind the wheel all day.
I've been considering hauling chemicals out to the wellsites, hauling product or even hauling fuel, not sure what other good options there are out there. I live in far north Fort Worth, so finding something maybe near Haslet, Rhome or Decatur would be preferable. Yall have any tips for me? Not sure who I should be looking for or what kind of gig I would like best. I'm not the kind of guy looking to work 16-18 hour days to make as much as I can, 12 hour days can be ok if I don't have too long of a commute, but I know there are some jobs out there that may be more like 10 hour days, even if they don't pay as much. What feedback do yall have?
