it occurred to me one thing might be a very handy feature is to be able to view roads as truck restricted or not- sometimes it is necessary to go around or wonder why a suggested route is as presented ( and sometimes the data is inaccurate too)- if truck routes had say a green line in them and truck restricted had red- it might be helpful to determine at a glance best routes to use or what options are before arriving at a certain road only to discover it is truck restricted; presently I have to go on the road or simulate my location on that road in order to view a warning indicating the road is not recommended. It might be really handy to see the green line through the urban maze. the rm has a lot of data- being able to view or access it at a glance could be helpful, I think.

 

You guys are killing me, Saturday I go and upgrade my 500 to a 710...
then I see there is a 720 out !!!!! WTH !!!

Any hope the weather feature can be implemented to the 710 ???

 

i feel your pain i just did the same. my old 710 needs to get repaired so i get a new one and 4 days later they come out with the 720.....

 

I hear ya. I had actually purchased the 710 on Amazon and then was perusing the Rand McNally site for the 7" sunshade and luckily caught the new 720 promo. So I was able to cancel the 710 purchase in time. It would be cool if they had some type of upgrade program where current 710 owners could pay a discounted price to upgrade to the 720.

 

Thats right, it will flag it on Lakeside Dr, by a road that truns up a very steep hill. Looks like you would be going into a new housing project. No sign or anything about a Wal-Mart. But if you take that road to the top and you will find the other road it is on. The shipping clerk, said the store has been there for a few years, and the city will not let them put a sign at the base of the hill.

 

I have some trouble with a couple of 510s that I got a few weeks ago form Diesel Boss. They are in pick ups and set up for such the trouble is sometimes when we enter coordinates it tells me there is no car or truck leagal route to get there. I can put those same coordinates in an older 510 and it comes up with a route with no problem. Any thoughts?
