As previously posted I installed a pair of Donaldson M100463 free flow mufflers on my 386 Pete with a C13 and I am happy to report that I gained an estimated .25-.30 increase in mpg. This increase will pay for the mufflers in no time. I also notice a quicker spool up of the turbo and it definitely makes a difference in the acceleration. On my next oil change I will run a sample and compare to the last sample taken to see if the soot levels changed. This was the best $200 I have spent on this truck! Happy Truckin'!

I like the results, but how long have you tested? Have you compensated for switching from winter fuel to summer fuel?
-
I have had them installed for the last month. As far as winter fuel I run straight #2 all year long if I can get it. I also can look at the fuel consumption records from the same time last year and compare. I run mostly local and run the same route day after day a lot of the time so it is easy to compare.JDP Thanks this.

I have no clue where you guys are buying your walkers, but I just replaced my exhaust system from the turbo on and I payed $158 ea for the Mega Flo. The Walker mufflers replaced the Pitts that I installed 4 yrs ago. I can't tell you anything about the difference yet cause I haven't had a chance to run yet, but I noticed a big difference from the old OEM Nelson mufflers to the pitts... I will say that the Walker seems a little throatier sounding, I'm not sure If I like that or not yet. The Pitts were rather quiet except they did have a bit a of a cackle with the engine brake and they did have some harmonic reverb when it got up to 1600-1700 rpms

Right at the site I mentioned in the post prior to yours. I just ordered two Walker Megaflow 22963's (5" inlet/outlet 10" body 51" length) for $114.95 each with no tax and free shipping to the door.
