I have called them on Sunday afternoon & got a load for Monday morning. The earlier you call in on Sunday, the better it seems.

Hey guys got approved for orientation ,but I have a question? My recruiter Courtney has been great on keeping in contact ,but she said they are booked up for this month unless someone drops out. So here is the question ,on average how long is the wait for orientation? She has me on the last minute call list and I am excited about going to work for Maverick, just wondering about how long the wait is.

Picked up aluminum coils at Pre Coat in St. Louis yesterday. That place is kinda in the middle of a neighborhood ain't it? That load delivered to Ball Metals in Bristol, VA. Anyone had the pleasure going there yet? If you have imagine it with 5 van trucks and 5 flatbeds in there! The flatbed guys were all parked all over the place because a U S Express driver was blocking the driveway around to the back. To make it interesting someone dropped a van trailer in the way..... I went in and signed in then had a drivers meeting with the flatbed guys and we worked out a plan to get back in there. Talk about a truffle shuffle!

Hey guys, so Maverick is stiil my number one choice, but I think I may try to go to their T/C division. I really wanted to go flatbed, but I had to have my knee replaced in 2010 and I don't want to aggrevate it and cause the need for another replacement early (no joint replacement lasts forever...they told me this one should last me 7-10 years). Anyway, I can't find much info on here about Maverick's T/C division, so I was wondering if someone could enlighten me a little bit. Just the usual questions...average miles/week, average pay/week, equipment etc. I know what their website says, I'm looking for real world experience from those who have been there. Thanks...

I had to put a van driver in his place the other day, he said I was going too slow down Mont Eagle. I told him I was hauling 46k of steel, not a box full of Oreo cookies and Tampons!
Evil_E, lonelyswmtrucker, Flatbedder 1966 and 1 other person Thank this.
