I was clearing 10k+ a month as a company driver, I can see single people getting carried away with that sort of money but they wouldn't keep the job long??

Hi. Been having a good read of this thread so thanks to all of you who have been so helpful in your information. I am a Class 1 driver here in Alberta and I am really interested in driving up north. I have been here in Canada for 3 years and I am now a permanent resident so I can move on from the company I came over with, seriously can't stay here for much longer as the money is so shockingly bad sometimes. As I said, I have 3 years experience of driving in Canada but I have 22 years total driving experience including 12 years driving in the British Army. I also have passed my air brake course here and have a clean drivers abstract.
What advice would you guys give for someone like me to get a job driving on the oil patch? Would it just be a case of bombarding companies with my resume? I would really appreciate any advice you could give me. -
Yup pretty much. Drive around to the different offices and ask to speak to a manager or whomever does their hiring.
