HazMat RR Crossing issue

High content liquor is stupidly flammable, yet we still smoke and drink it. Lol. It's all good.

your flavors for pepsi and coke are hazmat... acid.
flavors for monster energy drinks, hazmat, acid and flammable.

Never stop on a track, and I would also stop at #2 and check #3 and roll across both when safe.

 

Chewing gum especially the fruit flavors can contain esters (Combined alcohol and acid) or aldehydes (Formed by the oxidation of primary alcohols) may not only be flammable but sometimes is also explosive.

yes i do seem to remember that the acid in colas is damaging to surfaces if spilled, but yet safe to drink.>??

Pedigreed is right. You need to read more of the regulations so you know. During my road test with the gasoline company I slowed down on a crossing and did not stop and the bosses eyes got real big. I then explained to him it was not required to stop because that side of the tracks was controlled by a signal light. I think this is one of those laws that is outdated. I believe it's more dangerous the way the law is.

 

Under no circumstance stop on the tracks. Aside from thos crossings you picture you will come across stop singns that if you stop at the line you will be on the tracks. Its the same thing in both situations, stop before the tracks and roll over both sets of tracks when its clear. Stop before the tracks and roll past the stop sign when the way is clear. I try to stop 50 feet away so i can get a higher gear before i hit the tracks. But don't shift once those steers touch the tracks, if there is a cop around they will most likely ticket you for it. But always remember, even in traffic, if you have to stop before the tracks and wait with horns honking and every one behind you going nuts while you wait for a clear run to go over do not put yourself in a position to have to stop there. It will be your fault no matter the circumstance behind it if a cop see's you, or, god forbid, a train comes.

Leaving the plant you would stop only for the 1st and 2nd tracks as required.

Notice.....the X marked on the roadway? that is a mandatory stop, roll down the window and stay in the same gear until clear of tracks 2 and 3.
