I took a job team driving with an o/o. Is what follows normal?

Stopping at Club Risque , Florida a NUDE BAR to shower....he did his thing but we had not stopped for a shower for 2+ days and this is where he said I should take one.

SWITCHING SEATS while driving. Once pulling into a Tennnessee scale it was my shift but he was driving and he jumped out the driving seat getting his shorts caught on the stick shift and hitting the steering wheel with his foot causing the truck to swerve and go 3 feet over the line ....off the lane almost hitting the reflector poles that were AT LEAST 5 feet off the lane?

Not allowing me to roll down the window ANYTIME even crack it .....he smoked all day long and the truck was hard to breathe in! A/C was NOT ALLOWED

The dude NEVER took a shower the whole week NOT ONCE and I HAD to use his bed to sleep because even though HIS DOG slept on the bed and he did too BUT NEVER SHOWERED.

This was all just too much for me maybe I'm a wimp but man it just got to nasty for me. I really wanted and needed the job BUT, as I found out NOT that bad

It's a rhetorical question. I get that. Anyone who is to team drive must sometimes deal with these situations. Often the ones who MOST need to drive solo, are the ones wanting to drag another driver into their truck to make their life miserable, and they're clueless about how nasty they are in comparison to everyone else. There are nasty slobs in the world, and some of them happen to also drive truck.

I wouldn't let 1 bad experience spoil it. Ya just got to find the right fit or go solo.

do you have to drive team? I have not in over 24 years so I am thinking it is not a mandatory thing.regardless,BEST OF LUCK to you.We all allow trucking to get us down from time to time-it too shall pass if driving is what you truly want to do.

I know how ya feel. I left my orientation and came up to buffalo to meet my driver trainer. He was a O/O and rolled in with a old freightliner century class that looks like its been through war. And the inside of the truck was NASTY! Garbage everywhere you couldn't step anywhere! I requested non smoker and he was a chain smoker and had cigarette ash covering the entire truck with butts all over the floor. It smelled so nasty in there. I immediately called the training dept and told them I'm not riding in this truck as its so nasty and the truck was so beat up there's no way it would pass a DOT inspection and I didn't feel safe driving it across country. So I had a taxi come get me and they put me up in a hotel here in buffalo. I've been here for 3 days waiting for them to find me another trainer. Im deff not happy but my company has been VERY good about getting me out of that truck and very nice and understanding as to why I had to leave. And they are in constant contact with me as they try getting me out of here
