So far so good. I got all of her applications onto it now and she is trying them out. Kathi does all of our navigation and routing and gets me fuel stops etc. Everything but drive, and I was tired of her having to try and do all of this on her Iphone. This will be a vast improvement. I bought the WiFi only one. I just turn on the Iphone Hotspot and use it when rolling down the road. Its an IPAD2, 16gig. Was $399.00 at Walmart. I wanted the 32gig, but they are no where to be found.

 

Ipads are overrated. A laptop is cheaper and can do more for free. Including dvd burner.:biggrin_255

We have laptops on board too, but they are too bulky for the quick checks. She is also going to use it as an E Reader and I can get my Kindle back...

 

i have a mini 10 inch laptop. i do my logs and accounting. and a full fledged laptop i use for internet and what not. and an android phone for the useful and very handy trucker tools.


i HATE reading. other then internet wstuff.

 

How do you like that kindle? Have been giving serious thought to buying one. Love books, but theyre getting ###### expensive. You have the program for downloading books from the local library??

Thank goodness last scale was closed. Will get this stupid load off tomorrow, and dang glad of it!!!!

I'm going to need the higher Gig one as I need to keep all sorts of records on it and it will be only used for the trucking business and will use my laptop for games only lol.

I also need a Kindle or Nook as well but that is a want not a need right now

 

And you can never find a decent book at a truck stop...well I can't.

Apple now has an app so that you can read Kindle books on it. I logged that app into my amazon kindle account and leave the books in the cloud and we can both read them now. Not a bad deal.

The only 32gig we could find at the stores was the Ipad3 and it was $599.00.

 

books are getting e xpensive. so you all buy an expensive toy to read cheap books. ROFL.
