Well my first day was a short day. Watched a couple of videos and signed paperwork. Tomorrow is when I meet up with my trainer and get things rolling. They told me its they run a 10!day training program but I'm hoping that since I've hauled gas for a brief time that I can get through it a couple days quicker, we'll see though.
Was told I will be running out of the Selma terminal but will actually be considered a Wilmington driver. Something about the allocation is Wilmington is making it hard to get fuel some days. I'm not complaining though because I would rather run long runs anyway. So apparently I'll be pulling Wilmington terminal loads out Selma.

10 days would be pretty quik. All the racks have different schedules and procedures for getting carded. Some you have to load there x amount of times, some have classes, others have videos etc that they only do twice a month etc. It would be really pushing it to get enough cards in 10 days. Usually more like 18 I think

you guys got any info on the Kingsport chemical operation?

hey everyone...i talked to the local terminal manager a couple days ago and he liked my resume so heres to hoping i can join the ranks at eagle. can anyone give me the details of the physical test they do? im confident in all areas except those step test types where they make you step up and down for 1-3 minutes...after two minutes i get kinda winded lol...but no problems lifting tarps, climbing trailers etc...any help is appreciated

It's just measuring where your body is at now, so you can't start and say "my shoulder is messed up". It's not really a pass or fail thing, you'd have to be crippled to fail actually. It's kinda like taking a used truck to your own mechanic to have checked out.

From what I hear, it's a dedicated customer. You run out with their stuff and back empty, unless they can find a backhaul for you. ( I think it's for Kodak)kebo072 and Va/Ky Driver Thank this.

Lots of North East and some runs into Eastern Canada is what I read. Nice looking trucks. If they run it like the fuel? Should be some good money.

thanks for the quick reply....is there anyway you could tell me what they actually do? is there even a step test involved? i thought you could actually fail it. example..if i do ok on the climbing, crouching, the weights you have to lift etc...then the step test thing if im not able to do the whole 3 minutes id be screwed.....i know i need to improve cardio anyway...im just really hoping to join eagle. the terminal manager liked the fact im not a job hopper and he said to call him this friday and if all hes waiting on is 1 of my former emplyers to verify i worked there, he said (if i heard correctly) he may set the drug test up...its the over night shift but i just want to work again....its been 5 months since ive driven and i may be a little rusty lol...
thanks again -
The Nashville terminal has all new management. The manager quit, and there is two new dispatchers. One was fired, another quit and moved out of town.
