My first load was by far my worst.

Picked up my truck in Gary, IN, got dispatched to pick up a empty in hammonds ( 8 miles away )

Got to my destination and the guard said I had to bring a trailer to leave with one. :/

So I had to park down the street for an hour and wait for things to get fixed.

After finally getting my first empty, I had to head to Warsaw, IN, 92 miles east on rt 30.
got there and had to wait 5 hours before they could get me to the dock.

After getting docked, it took them another 6 hours to get me loaded, I was ready to quit by this point.

By the time they were all done with me, my 14 was well past, so I had to park in their lot and take my 10 hour break. 1st day: 20 hours off my 70, and 100 miles driven.

The next day I was ready to roll, heading to Atlanta, but first I had to get scaled, so I made the 20 mile drive west to Plymouth to weigh the load, ..... I was over weight on the rear after sliding tandems to the 14th hole. ..... So I had to go back to Warsaw and waited 3 more hours for them to just remove one pallet.,.... Back to Plymouth to rescale.

Now I was all set, 6 hours left to drive for the day, I end up with 300 or so miles on day 2.

Day 3 I make it to Atlanta, and all went well.

I wanted to quit really bad, but my DBL told me I would have to find my own way home after leaving the truck at the nearest OC, so I stayed.

My wife and I were teaming and our first run was a JC run NC to CA going thru Texas my wife gets pulled over for seatbelt violation. Troopers under overpass with binoculars. She had it on but it was locked very loose so as not to crush her chest and trooper stopped her I was asleep and she woke me up crying asking what do I do. I said stop which she already was doing I told her the trooper just seen a pretty driver and wanted a closer look.
