I made the call to safety last night. The gentleman I spoke with forwarded it on to his boss, who is supposed to call me today sometime. As it stands now his trainer privledges have already been remobved pending the outcome of this investigation, and they are planning to pull his truck in for a suprise inspection. He led me to believe that after that inspection they would be asking to to clean out his truck. I have to go in today and do the hazmat app so hopefully I dont miss that call. I want them to know I did take pics of the truck just in case he suddenly decides to clean it up.
Thanks for the input and advise and I ill keep you updated as I learn more about what they plan to do.

I heard a couple yrs ago of a guy in Alaska that was watching porn on his dash DVD player. He wrecked killing two people and pretty much got off because it wasn't against the law to watch a DVD player while driving. -
hahahahahahaha
That part about, "Hey, I was in cyber-heaven with a hottie and I didn't see the bus-load of nuns...." Reminded me of something I read on the CNN website maybe four years ago, when DVD players in four wheelers started being the hot topic..... Some idiot, got pulled over for weeving. The police officer originally thought he was drunk or high. Much to the officers suprise..... The man was watching a Porno while driving! lmfao.

There was a Pro-Football jock in Mnpls/St Paul that wrecked while watching a porn movie as well, he only had one hand on the steering wheel, and the other on HIS "shifter".....LOL

There will be a new law soon enough now lol

In California the governor signed a new law into place starting in July 2008 to ban the use of cell phone texting and laptop use while driving....i see other states making the same law.

I am glad you learned something from it, however I wish you would have told your company and got a new trainer. That's just scary, now I might no why some of these drivers are acting drunk.
Anyhow: You could send your complaint to the Federal DOT and maybe if everyone does they can make a law regarding this. I would say the least they could do is charge you an extra charge if in an accident and found you was on the "internet" or fine you if found to be on the internet. I just feel it would be hard to prove just by driving down the road. -
Did you know it is not illegal in arizona to play video games will driving!

The laws probably aren't in place because they don't think people are STUPID enough to do those things while driving. Guess they need to put in laws for stupid people, too, huh?
My hubby lost a job because he didn't "fit in" - meaning he didn't text and drive all the time like his trainer did. Or sleep while he drove like his trainer did. But they didn't care what he said. The trainer lied about his driving and they believed the "good ol' boy" trainer and that was that. Makes me sick. Texting and driving is NOT SAFE!!!
