I am confused..... did he uncouple his tractor from the trailor and then leave it? If so then wtf? Of did they break into his tractor and hot wire it, and then moved it to the next parking spot?

 

They uncoupled and moved his tractor. Whether or not they broke into it, hard telling since the story doesn't say. But, if I really wanted to, I can move almost any truck by caging the brake springs and tugging on it to move it. It's a matter of how much effort you want to put into the task. I could do a lot of work for 165k, probably 100k with the 5 finger discount..
