i hear that..... but it will never happen.... I herd a few weeks back the florida o/o carriers didnt pull any loads for the brokers for 1 day out there....they told me it caused a mess for the brokers and they had no other choice but to up the price to move the freight... Maybe we should do it in NJ just to see!

A complete truck shutdown will not and should not ever happen. Most people don't like trucks and truck drivers the way it is, imagine the hatred there would be towards us when the stores shelves start to empty. Not to mention the panic and chaos that would insue...

Whew. I can't (well, I MAY NOT) go to Brooklyn, as I'm dragging around a 53' dry van.

Why shouldn't a shutdown happen? Since they already hate us, let them see what we really provide to their lives daily! Maybe then they'd appreciate what we do. You never know what you got till it's gone. it wouldn't take long in three days the signs would start to show. I would vote for shutdown any day.

Nah, it would be quicker than that. Gas stations would close up within hours.

The real reason that it won't happen is because there's nowhere to park them all!
