May trucking, stay away from them. I used to drive for them but this company has changed way too much. Yes I was fired from them, I was fired for being honest and reporting a couple minor backing incidents, but that's not part my complaint. My complaint is that they've become a training mill, a mini swift. All they care about now are the new drivers and senior drivers are leaving in droves. The Denver terminal has be come one of the worse terminals. The Terminal Manager is never there, always gone out to "recruiting events" but usually off exploring Colorado, and refuses to stick up for her drivers. The safety idiot has an "Inner Circle" going on there, basically if you're in his "Inner Circle" you get favortism, like becoming a trainer when you're not exprienced enough but you are lying kiss ### and is the safety idiots pet, he gives the easy students to his "Inner circle" drivers, and also being part of this "inner circle", you can lie and get your way. He thinks, as does his little lying kiss ###, that his crap don't stink. They've kept a certain Driver Manager there who can't the job she has, the former Term Mngr used to ride her ### all the time but no use. I tried to stick with this DM and I finally got sick of being told two different things and getting yelled at for clarification because the DM was too worried about covering her ### than helping her drivers.

Also, the miles have gone way down, and unless you know someone in logisitics, you can't get good miles. Or if you're Brooks driver or Pensacola driver, you get awesome miles, if you're not, good luck getting miles! All the Brooks drivers get all the favortism, like when they get home time, they get to drop their trailers in Brooks, even if it has mulitple drops on it north of Brooks. especially if it drops at night, we can't have the Brooks driver work late or stay up all night. If you worked out of, say Denver, then you have bypass the yard and deliver your load to Loveland or Ft Collins and then WAIT, while they find something for you to come back, which usually was run to Coors and mess with that BS before you could home.

I read the post about the issues with Gordon, well, May is the same way. They'll step over a dollar to save a dime. They only authorize what is needed to put a fix on it and as of late good luck getting a hotel room. And good luck getting an issue fixed with them as well. If they send you to a shop to get it fixed you'll sit there and sit there while they decide if they want to authorize a fix, if you go to one of their shops, take it too Payette, at least Pug knows what he's doing. Brooks is a joke, you'll come out with a worse issue than going in. But if your Qualcomm fails and they can't keep track of your every move they have a fit and pull you off of good loads and then try and blame you for the issue and accuse you of messing with the Qualcomm. (First of all why would I? and second, even if I knew how, why would I? you'd fire me anyway for messing with it)

If you're late (whether it's your fault or theirs), 90% of the time they reschedule the load so they can say it was on time, and a lot of times it's a day or too later and they refuse to let you drop it. And give you so many excuses on to why and usually it's BS. You're not one of their favorites so screw you. here take this crap run that's less than 1000 miles but you 4 days to deliver but you can't deliver it early and sorry we could care less if you've only had 500 miles this week, more money in our pockets not yours.

They have 2 safety idiots (Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dummer) in Brooks who do nothing more than look for reasons to harass drivers to justify they're jobs. Searching trucks that come into the yard looking for "K-2" the synthetic pot, because ONE driver pee'd hot for it. I was told by one these guys that you can't come down a steep hill in a lower gear! Yes, you heard right! I was told that "brakes were cheaper than an engine." I couldn't believe what I was told! So I asked if fishing a a truck out the runaway ramp was cheaper than brakes, or paying for the insurance on a load lost due to the truck catching fire from the hot brakes.

Stay away from May if you can, or get on with them, deal with Micro managing, and 61 mph trucks, do your time and go else where.

And I did "Get Out And Look", like I said I accept full responsibility for my actions. Both the backing accidents were on the blind corners of the trailer. One was just too #### tight and I should've slid the tandems forward and the 2nd one was I was too worried about clipping someone who was parked bad and clipped the guy on the other side. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Well you can't get mad at them for firing you.

Honesty doesn't make their insurance happy

Two backing incidents....I'd fire you too! Your "sticking story" does not negate the actual real damages and costs. Contrary to belief, money does not grow on tree's and in trucking as well as many other businesses profit margins are slim, insurance is high & so is truck parts & the man power to install....

Enough of justifying your lack of ability. Only you believe it. Feel fortunate another company will actually put you behind the wheel. Lets hope for the motoring public this is not your only driving excuse.

When in doubt, get out and look!! No excuse for running into anything else!!

I've seen plenty of other professional drivers and myself get out and look many times while trying to back into a tight spot. Don't be lazy!

And after the second backing incident at my company, you'd be gone too!

And I guess all of you are "perfect" drivers, huh? Yeah right! And how many bumps and dings have you had and NEVER reported? Mmmhmmm. Ok yeah I believe you. The last time I checked the only "perfect" person died on a cross. Thank you very much.

    Dennis_Miller Thanks this.
