They ran me up to Dallas from LaPorte and I loaded a load of Coca Cola Syrup... Taking that up to Sioux City, IA for Friday morning... Stopped for the night in Oklahoma City and got my APU fixed, had been giving me problems with cooling... Got it fixed now, had a hairline crack in the HVAC unit under the bunk and lost all of the freon out of it... They replaced the whole HVAC unit and it will freeze you out of here now...

 

thats good news on your APU, thats much needed to cool this time of the year ..... well im in limbo now i guess ... was talking daily with Don, sent my app in etc.... and now no communication ... the waiting is killing me... lol

 

Don seems like he's quite busy. Also runs some loads occasionally. Had some trouble getting ahold of him a few times before I hired as well.

 

i have a question for you guys while im sitting here in anticipation .... they way they run you guys there, do you utilize the log without having to do split sleeper berth stuff etc ..? was just curious if you guys run full days or nights or if you find yourself doing split stuff .... the reason i ask is because i find it much easier to just run the hours straight and not mess with split sleeper berth as it can get confusing ... and im sure even more with elogs ....

 

The ELog will split it for you, it's really less confusing.But as for me personally I have never done split logs.

 

Don is on a run this week. I got a friend of mine that just got the green light this week. Starts on the 25th.

I delivered my first load with FRE this morning. Only took 5 hours, almost 4 of it was waiting for a door. CSR was not too happy with that. Picking up tomorrow in Houston heading to Aurora. Delivers on the 19th, hoping for a drop in Denver so I can keep rolling.

 

yeah, i have a friend that put his app in this morning, i was told all looks good for me they are just waiting on mvr to get back, which should not be a problem my record is clean ..

i was told they wanted me in on the 18th, looks like it will be the 25th now since they are still waiting on stuff etc.. my buddy wants to be there by the 25th as well .... i have 4 more friends that are looking into FRE now also .... looks like we could be filling some seats ... lol

 

If its coming out of Houston Intermodal they will probally let you drop it and grab another, just communciate with dispatch.

 

Having a busy week, been busy since early last month. Headed to Aurora from New Albany,dropping Sat. and grabbing another load. Finally met everyone down there good southern folk, guess thats why we get along so well!

 

It is Tennessee. Do you know where to check in at? I didn't get a hold of someone in time to gt directions.
