Living in Edmonton shouldn't be a problem, a lot of companies in Edmonton and nisku. would hold off on some of the courses you mentioned, some are company specific like tdg, and the company might pay for the courses which saves you some money.

we have a course called wildlife management, or something like that. Again that's part of your green hand training so I don't see a need to take that course separately.

You got a lead, great. I would take any position that gets you out here. Once here, you will have a better understanding of what companies to apply to after some oilfield work experience. Any oilfield company here pays better than any outfit in Ontario.
