I got to drop trailer here at RockTenn, but there are no empties available. I'm just glad it's a drop/hook here now. That line for live unload was rather long! There had to be at least 12 trucks in there, not including the trucks backed up on the road.

Bobtailing home. Told to find a trailer after home time. I'll probably grab one in Kissimmee. I should be home in about two hours. I'm thinking really hard of doing a SW month run coming out. I can really use the extra 150 each week bonus for doing it.

You should be getting deadhead trip numbers. You have to fill out a trip sheet like a normal load and scan it to get paid. They start with 9's

Well, not always. I did a few that had a lot of deadheads and dm added miles to load. I guess they either charged it to customer or it was easier to explain then to have a bunch of deadheading.

I remember my empty run to Miami, then to Ft Pierce, to go to Lakeland, back to Ft Pierce, to Ormond Beach, back to Lakeland. That was an interesting day. I still grabbed a load in Lee after. Lol.

    Poor planning.

My favorite here recently, talking to a driver who delivered in Beech Island and went to Hope Mill for load and I delivered in Hope Mill to pick up in Beech Island. We both passed each other at fuel stop in Columbia where we spoke quickly of current loads. Then we both delivered one hour apart at Publix. Lol.

Been driving OTR since December '10. Really enjoy it but looking for a decent SE regional carrier to get home more often. I live in GA. I'm working on reading this entire thread but any recent info would be great. I'm not expecting the moon, just around 2,000 miles/wk and to get by the house more often & of course to run SE regional.
