Broker just quoted me $1.115 / mile

I deadheaded from Manchester NH to the house today....couldn't find anything worth our while I guess. (i'm paid mileage/hourly mix so they don't disclose rates with me, but usually they find me loads going back home) I assumed it being friday and trying to find a westbound load out of the East would be tough...

 

Anyone in particular you suspect? I think the only one that can call in reasonable susupicion is the contact at the company.
I wish I could make nice screen shots like that. I think I could find a better use for them.

 

Correct wording good paying, ok paying would have done for me.

 

Think he was talking about "Mr Undercover Phone Tap Guy". Sounds like the kinda guy, if you happened to be parked next to him in a T/S, you'd move to another T/S just to make a getaway...

That, or they're selling "bath salts" in the T/S he's parked at - and "no loads available" may not be the reason he's "stuck"...

I was parked between two of them like that in Tx. awhile back. They had this ugly hoe running between the two trucks.
Locak guy said they'd been there geeking on and off for a couple days, wasn't the best neighborhood either.
I slept with one open I was relieved when they left.

 

It is amazing how stupid people have it all figured out. Like the two next to me in NE last year. Sitting in a truck drinking beer. And like no one would figure it our because they had bag around them, would look left and right then dip head down to drink it. And this was a Bosselmans that openly says they report drinking by truck drivers.

Yup, they got free bracelets, free ride and truck put on the hook.

 

Didn't they have a sleeper to get into to drink it? Or better yet a paper cup? In Ne. I bet that was the news of the day?

 

So they were drinking while off. And yet they still caught a case? That's kinda messed up. I hit local bars sometimes. I don't really see where that's an offense.
