If my tarps were 8 foot drop they'd be missing too. Mines 4 foot and thats as far as I go unless I turn one sideways.
    I think of 8 footers as 8 foot herinia's.

    LSAgentOZR and kebo072 Thank this.

Sounds like just what you suspected. Best that you got rid of him now before he started pulling other "funny coincidences."

Saying that he isn't providing them with adequate equipment is a bunch of baloney, I bought a padlock for my tarps because none of our trailers have two boxes and the single box holds all of our coils racks, edge protection, etc. My two 8 foot drop lumber tarps, two 4 foot drop lumber tarps and one 16x16 steel tarp all sit on my deck behind my bulkhead with just a single 2" strap over them, and I haven't had trouble yet. I do keep the pad-lock in case I keep the truck over the weekends at my house or sleep in truck stops (a very rare occasion for me, I usually sleep where I'm going).

The man is just starting a company and brand new boxes arent cheap, lets cut him a break for not having them huh?

Let the driver pay for the next set and reimburse him if he leaves or let him keep them .That might stop the thefts

many years ago i had a driver that gave me a reciept for a used 11x24.5 tire. the tractor he was running had 1000x22 tires on it. One is tube type the other is tubeless for you newer guys.I asked him if he had any trouble getting that tire he bought mounted . He said no just took the old one off and new one on.He wanted to know if I was calling him a liar, I said no I am calling you a magichan if you can put a tubeless tire on a tube type wheel and get it to hold air. Do you see where I am going with this ? He sold your tarps. See ya.

When I buy my own tarps I am thinking of getting Hot Pink ones. Ya think that that would help prevent them from being stolen?
