I just was in Red Deer/Sylvan Lake doing my drug test and getting my apartment in Sylvan all squared away. Seems everyone is hiring. I left the fluid hauling in Elk Point, was a great job, great pay, but the 11 - 1300 kms per day was long and I found a job in Sylvan doing wellsite work with way less kms, hours amd really good pay. They are hiring now too. Its getting busy out there fellas! best of luck to all the job searchers! here is a link to the place I am starting on Monday. Otherwise check kijiji and indeed.ca

as an employee, if you make under 150k, you pay less income tax in bc than ab.

if you end up working 183 days in alberta, your bc insurance is void in ab, yes even territory z....

How much did you guys make your first year Fraccing ? My company just paid for my class 1 and crane ticket and I have to stay with them for a year before I can leave. I make 50,000 a year living in Vancouver ( i only see around $38,000 after taxes ) . Wondering if the pay upgrade for green hand is worth the move up north fort Mac or Fort St John. I'm a single guy with nothing holding me down.

Not sure why everyone is so focused on Alberta, think oil...SW Saskatchewan is booming big time, huge oil plays are happening there. Nat gas prices are so low and supplies are so high it's going to slow down.

If I was looking for a driving job, I would haul crude in Saskatchewan.

I guess the question would be do they pay as much in Sask as Alberta? Does the same company pay different rates in different locations?

Umm... there's more oil in Alberta than any other province, but yes, SK is booming right along.
