Stevens Transport

Thank you for taking the time to say what makes stevens a bad company in your opinion. You have listed some of their warts, and moved on to what you consider a much better place.

You say it was not worth it, yet who else would give you the chance to get started, so that you could be where you are today?

 

Millis, May, Prime, CR England, Werner, Swift, PAM, Trans Am... Shall I keep going?

 

yea but he choose stevens, his choice, he was not forced. And May being from Oregon was so much closer to home. I know who the training companies are nascar, I was asking him.

 

Hey Nascar...long time no see. I saw a sweet truck from your company the other day in South Dallas. An old school FL, blue with a blue drop visor. Is it in service?

 

That would be one of the O/O's. I think I know the one that your talking about. He runs out of Ft. Worth alot.

99% of our company trucks are red Peterbilts with gold trim and lettering. Some are old but they all look good and are in good shape. I am in one of I think 3 company trucks that are white with gold lettering.

We just put the 80th company truck in service about a week ago and with O/O we have about 130 trucks total.

AS i had said b4 if i had it to do all over i would have done it some where els..any where els!!! if i had knone about Knights traing side i would have done that.. or may ...i dont think may poped when i was surching it out and as I said i moved to oregon AFTER i had my cdl from a truck driving school where i was from,, This was in the start of 09...the start of this recession..lol this is kind of off track here..Tlea.... would you mind telling me why you are even on this thred???

This is report a bad trucking company???? NOT REPORT A GOOD TRAINING COMPANY???? The reason for me doing it so late in the game so to say is ..and i have said this b4 i had only 1 outher trucking company to compair stevens to...and i had told my self that i would let outhers know what i had went through there and if i had thought it was god or bad.. there are a lot of people that think KNIGHT or JB hunt are 2 of the worst companys out there and thay may be right ...but due to how i was treted by both of them i liked them!!! If Knight would have given me the same Deal that Jb did 40 cpm home every night off weekends and 55000$ a year i would have stayed with them!! thay did not so i left them.. but did not experience the BS i did when i left stevens..

SO here is the Milllion $ quistion to you guys....THAT LOVE STEVENS SO MUTCH why are you here trying to discredit people that have somthing bad to say about stevens?? i have ben called a lyer..told i could not cut the mustard and also told sorry that i dont qualify for a good job trucking?? as well as get a life??
all because i had a bad experience there at stevens??? bottom line i am not on the outher threds for Knight and JB HUNT telling people with bad experiences with them that thay are lying or trying to discredit them... if stevens is paying you to do this you might consider spending your time looking for a new job insted of trying to slam some 1.. otherwise i think maybe you all should get a life.

 

Sorry but several people in here think that Stevens is the cream of the crop. Thats kinda the way that you were making it sound. And once again, Im not bashing you or Stevens. Like I have said many a time, Stevens is a GREAT place to LEARN, but get some experience and move on because IN MY OPINION Stevens isnt a very good company once your solo. Some like it there but most leave within a year. That should say something right there.

 

Exactly what I was saying. Stevens took me and trained me well with absolutely no experience.

Misfit, I only meant you still don't have the required experience.

I have not disagreed with you, even supported what you said about transflo...

And you have posted honest information.

Hind sight is always clearer, but there was a reason you choose Stevens 3 years ago... even though this board was full of reports about just how bad stevens was/is.

NO I DON'T GET A DIME FOR POSTING MY EXPERIENCES AND KNOWLEDGE, AND OPINION.

And you are here now, 3+ years later saying how bad stevens was for you, but you are comparing them to companies that would not hire you due to lack of experience.

 

So, in other words it was out of the frying pan and into the fire?
