I've had $500 and even $600 days straight out of school. $27/hr 15 hours, ot after 8 is $500. If you have some experience and don't work for the frac companies $27/hr is not considered an exceptional wage. Lot's of guys making mid 30's or better with skills and experience.

Pioneer is $448 for 14 hours at their base rate. 15 would be $490, not sure if they can run that many though. And you'd make $50 subsistance if not making it home that night.

you mean hydraulic fracking water ??.....

curious because I have seen a departure from traditional wages half a century ago when min-wage was like $2.85 and now it is seven dollars or something but most manufacturing still pays around 7-10/12 and I have selected frack-water hauling to get in the cab as I can handle the equipment it is just the written and insurance that is blocking

Keep in mind the thread you are responding to is in the Canadian forum. Yes I mean hydraulic fracking, but not specifically just hauling the water for it. The frac companies run a large variety of positions on the lease to successfully stimulate the well. Trican is an example of a frac company.

Hauling the fluid can get you lots of hours and good money in Canada, not sure how it compares south of the border. Did lots of that last winter, hauling the water and oil flowing back out of the well.

I guess some of the people didn't read my 1st post carefully enough. I was talking about highway companies. As asked in question 4, what lanes do you run, shortage of MILES, don't know any companies in the oilfield that pay by the mile.

Because some people got so screwed over by management at some of these companies that they have a bad reputation and when people left they can't replace them.
