I agree! This is a pain but not a "deal breaker" in my book.

I really believe that Maverick is going to take actions against the drivers that do this. We just have to do our part and report everything we find. It will take some time, but it is moving in the right direction.

I have faith that they will do something. Why would they go through the trouble of micros if not to do something.I could understand if the tire on this trailer was just flat. Maybe it lost air while sitting but this was shredded and looked like it had been driven on. Apparently the last driver didn't know how to do a post-trip and call it in. Now with a full trailer hubby has to tote this thing around on the truck. And NO he can't leave it at home.

Keep your job if you want. That's your prerogative. IMO, there is no incentive to change otherwise. Maverick has NO incentive to get rid of lazy drivers as long as they incur a profit and the next guy is willing to pick up the slack. That's my opinion and you have yours. There are scads of jobs out there. Some better. Some worse. I'm not now nor will I ever be afraid of unemployment to stand my ground on issues of this sort.

they don't care if you quit, I can assure you the seat in your truck wouldn't get cold before a new ### hits it.

"They don't care" is reason enough to leave. Staying just because I can be replaced is no reason to stay. Everyone's existence is important, whether it's the guy who drops the ###### trailer or the one who gets its repaired. It's when the company refuses to acknowledge value in the employee that makes it time to go. As always, just my opinion. If you don't care about what I would call a marginalization in favor of the almighty dollar, you're more than welcome to it. I will never think any less of you for it.

First of all maverick does care if you quit good drivers are hard to find. Drivers dropping trailers that have defects is a problem in the whole trucking business. I can't think of one company that doesn't have that problem. Some work harder on it than others.
If you think it's bad here you should work for some other outfits and you'll understand what bad really is. Not saying we don't have a problem that needs to be addressed. But as a whole were not as bad as 80% of the other carriers. Just my observations in my 30+ years in trucking.

Hopefully with the new macro and if the drivers actually use it they can be policed a lot better and discipline the offending drivers.

    Just my two cents.

I don't think it's bad here at all. But, I also think it's not that hard to be better than 80% of the industry. I'm just saying that if I really thought Maverick didn't care, I would have been gone a long time ago. Some things just aren't worth tolerating.

Miles are good. The $550/wk you get paid for the first month or so until you go solo is the lowest you should ever gross. After 6 months solo $900-1100/wk or more average (flatbed) is pretty normal. Flatbed division gets home the most. Glass has been doing good and TCD seems pretty steady, too. I have friends in glass that get paid at least $150 more a week on average, but they aren't home every week like flatbed is.
