Another Newbie Dilemma

hey bro there are some local mom and pop operations that hire delivery drivers and they don't ask for a medical card. Don't give up. I have done prison time and yet i got to drive for a couple of companies. What it was is that I never gave up. I filled out a whole bunch of applications and was denied for a lot of jobs, but all it took was for one to say yes, now I have the experience and a good job.

 

What provoked the seizures? If you don't know, that is a problem, no? I'd be nervous hiring you to drive unless you know exactly what caused the seizures. If not, I'd be waiting for it to happen again.

 

So you're not an epiletic jrd929?Before possibly wasting your time and money on a school,you better ask some starter companies if they would have a problem with your history of provoked seizers.Even though you have been treated for it companies are funny that way and very cautious. Many drivers are disqualified for alot less then your seizers.

 

you will NOT eat right on the road, causing low blood sugar.

you will not sleep right, because you will be sleeping at different times of the day or night, NOT LIKE you are doing now at a "regular schedule".

you will be in pain on some days in this business.

right now, you have all 3 factors there, and that Doctor of yours is only "thinking" that it takes all three.

typical quackery.

should you LIE at ANY TIME to ANY trucking company, and they hire you, and you have one of your seizures, and they find out YOU LIED, you WILL BE 1000% liable for ALL COSTS of the accident, whether your fault or not.

do you think the "other side's lawyers" will NOT dig into your acehole for answers,(???) cuz i can assure you, that if you lie, they crawl right up there and find "sheet" to use against you.

 

Do some calling and research before you give up, don't take the word of the "experts" on here..

 

you can do VERY well in warehousing. you can move up the ladder, and not to just pick the loads either. i mean management. you would be very surprised at how much more respect and money and maybe even profit sharing some managers get. (and thank you for not starting a driving career with your seizures.)

who said we were experts..??

we just know it all. that doesn't make any of us experts....now does it..??

 

Don't give up. I think your answer is with the doctor. If you can explain everything you want to do and get him to sign a letter stating you won't have any more seizures then the doors may open. That might be the only shot you have.
