Hello all, my wife and I are trying to get into team trucking we need a company that has training to get licensed etc. We applied with FFE out of Texas but they just rejected me because my license was suspended for 10 months for an unpaid fix it ticket. That has all been resolved and I have had my license back for about 9 Months. So my question is does anyone know of a company with training that would overlook that? Help please.
License suspended 9 months ago, who will train me?

I don't know who requires it, but I believe your license must be valid for a full 12 months without being suspended.

But i thought you just arent allowed to have any suspensions for points in the past 12 months. im in the same boat my license expired last year and never renewed it and then was suspended for a unpaid ticket but no points but alot of companies want you to have a valid license for the past 12 months. i called a few companies and the only ones who said it shouldnt be a problem was MCT (midwest coast trans) and Wil-Trans and millis transfer. so maybe you should try those companies.

Try Stevens Transport... I had a suspension last Sept for an unpaid ticket and got a ticket for failure to reinstate. I started in their school in may and am currently out with a trainer. They never gave it a mentoon. Just be sure you are up front a out everything with them.
Good luck. -
CRST should, they where going to hire my friend that backed out

In the past i've had my license suspended more then once due to child support. As long as it was valid and there wasn't a child support hold on it at the time I applied to a company it never seemed to matter. I'm fairly certain that they are only looking for driving related suspensions.

I wouldn't sweat it. Someone will take you. Going into it as a husband /wife team means companies will be a little more forgiving on you guys. Companies treat husband/wife teams like gold!
I don't think the issue with your license is even that bad. Not like it was suspended for speeding or accidents etc... Make a list of a bunch of companies that interest you guys and just start calling recruiters and explain to them what is going on.
Good luck to you all!thor6400 Thanks this. -
swift is also pretty easy to get on with too with some on your S*%$ MVR. yea stevens is the same ive been told by a few drivers there not too picky but there not the hardest to get on with.
im looking to get on with a company and im kinda set on going to MCT for company training and taking the 1 year contract just to get my foot in the door. but now after yea so good things about stevens i might change my mind and apply for stevens cdl training. great equipment too ive been told and read.thor6400 Thanks this. -
Shouldn't be a problem with most companies. Mine was suspended a month before I started school. Never was a problem.

Thanks to all replys. It looks like were gonna move ahead with Swift they dont care about my suspension.
