What are some unlimited internet options for a driver going all around the US? Would like to find some options but don't want something with a data usage limit. Also would like to stay off truck stop net if possible..
EDIT. Did a little searching and it seems my expectations were a little high. Any advice on getting a Verison 3g or 4g phone and tethering it to run as a modem for the laptop?

i have a verizon mifi 10 G pkg
others talk about sprints unlimited serviceNCdirtracer Thanks this. -
Back in the good old days, you'd have no problem, but not anymore. There are new VZW plans coming out later this month. Read up, as they make it more expensive for just one phone. I have a 5 gig plan on my Xoom tablet and unlimited on my iPhone (grandfathered for now), plus pay for 2 gig tethering on the iPhone as I rely on data to find loads and sometimes the iPhone has better signal or in the past, the 4g network has gone down (not recently, but one missed load for me can more than pay for tethering for a couple years). Back when I had an unlimited air card, I blew well over 10 gigs in a weekend watching netflix. If you're going to have a day like that, it's best to pay $5 for truckstop wireless as it's cheaper than $10 a gig.

I think that Millenicom is the only one with true unlimited. http://www.millenicom.com/
We used them, and never had an issue.NCdirtracer Thanks this. -
Thanks for all the replys. Really I would like to go with the Verison network because that's who my phone contract is with no and have service anywhere i go. Just trying to figure out if I should go with the hotspot, tether my phone as a modem or what the best route is.

I use my smartphone as a hotspot and tether it to my laptop. I have "Double Data". I pay $50 for 5GB, doubled = 10GB + 2GB from Hotspot feature = 12GB a month for $70. I cant watch Netflix movies all the time, but i spend hours a week on YouTube, and play a first-person-shooter online on my laptop. When the end of the month comes, ill watch a movie or a few to spend the data i have left over.

Any idea what network they connect to? I assume they are selling repackaged service from Sprint or Verizon etc. -
Pretty sure that its the sprint network. Because our sprint card worked. We did the BYOD plan. (Bring Your Own Device)

Thanks. Seems to be a very reasonable price. I might just look into that more closely should I make my way into the industry.

With millenicom it depends on which package you choose on which network. I got the 20gig package. It's Verizon. The unlimited is sprint. Not sure on the other packaged. The byod plan depends on device. I have not gone over my 20 yet in 7 months. Watch Hulu and Netflix. I also play Xbox. General surfing. I did download a data tracker program to help keep real time tracking. It helps to know where I am in my data usage.
