Ok, so considering that the retreads are less than the acceptable Chinese tire, which would you go with?
-
Personaly I would go with the virgin chinese tires before a recap.

I have used steemark & have dynatrac on my spread now. the 8 steel mark's I had installed a while back cost $2000.00 that was the total amount, dismount/mount, 8 new valve stems, f.e.t. & all other taxes. chinese virgin is better for my application then any cap, which I see all over the highway. I would use a cap as a spare & may keep on a while in cold weather, but not in the summer.

Which WanLi model were you running on that FLD?
-
Wanli is a china copy of a firestone tire and is a decent tire
-
Daytons are a american made tire same tire as a firestone or bridge stone I have a set of dayton drives all the US tire companies quit their short lines Kelly Springfeild, Dayton, Dunlops, Remmington all gone

I put on the XDA2-23 custom mold retreads last August. They are wearing very nice and comparable to virgin Bridgestones I put over 400,000 miles on. After the casing credit for my Bridgestones, the XDA2-23 Custom mold retreads cost me $170 a tire.

I'm running Dynatracs on both of my spreads and so far so good, although I only have around 50k on the older set. A friend of mine runs them on his triples and spreads and has had really good luck with them.

I am hearing the Kuhmos are decent tires. Anyone have a bad problem with them?
