Question Regarding Jobs

Hello ~

This may come across as an odd question but is there no avenue for American drivers to gain employment in Canada? Aside from Schneider which I understand has divisions in both countries but what I am looking for is a way to get up to Canada as in a work permit and live (I reside in Washington State).
