extra space in your trailer, do you sell that space?

Might be a weird question I know, but I'm trying to transport some vending machines and the companies I know are all kinda shady and over priced, moving companies are super unreliable I'd really like to deal with a driver personally, someone I can trust, keep it small instead of making it a huge corporate thing.

Is this something people do? I haven't been able to rustle up much info..

    thanks I.A. !! :biggrin_25520:

In Oakland, they'd be headed to the Northeast (NY, Philly)

If it's only 2-3 machines, advertise it on U-ship website or find a couple of flatbed companies in your area.

BTW, We don't allow advertising of such services here on the forum.

You could try craigslist as well, under services, movers/laborers. Do phone interview first, and make sure you feel comfortable with whoever you speak with. Lots of people with trucks and trailers trying to make a few bucks on there usually. (most are probably not licensed or insured though, so again be careful)

thanks for the advice! U-ship looks interesting, never heard of it before. I run a small business and i like it to stay really mom n pop. I'd thought about craigslist, there are a lot of shady people roaming around that board! anyway thanks again guys, much obliged. and Im sorry if I inadvertently solicited advertising in there somewhere! Not my intention.

You of all people should be ashamed for advertising UShip. That website is causing rates to be worthless and then the people who bid don't even come through on their promises. Most are underinsured and a bunch of fly by night idiots.

Ashamed of what ? I'm not advertising or promoting that site. I merely suggested them, I could have deleted the thread and sent a PM telling the OP. My last sentence >> BTW, We don't allow advertising of such services here on the forum.

for being a trucker and promoting that website. It's killing this industry...especially for the platform guys hauling over-dimensional. I said it in jest...

Edit: allow me to clarify RT. Not the advertising...but even mentioning the word UShip because of what it stands for in this industry.

    LGarrison and windsmith Thank this.
