I park at home and I live 52 miles from the yard.Right now I have to be home weekends, but will be going back to biweekly to get the long weekends at home. When I got hired, I was told home every weekend. My dm is complaining for I took extra time at home this weekend, but I had to. Otherwise, I'm trying to get home Friday late night or early Saturday morning to leave out Sunday afternoon. At least until I take care of some personal things at home and then I'm going to do some longer runs.

I'm stuck in Bessemer waiting for a new appt time, all because of another driver's laziness... I'm really irritated right now. I sit and lose miles for the company to do nothing about it. frustrating.

Preplanned from ATL to Tampa after delivery. Probably going to run this weekend since the family will be out of town. After delivery in Tampa ill b right at 2700 miles this week. Should be well over 3000 by payroll cutoff Saturday night.

I won't make that this week. Ran into a major repair on truck. Wheel seals on front drive axle went and brakes are saturated. Question is why did both go like they did. Tech checked breather and it wasn't plugged. That means there is another problem. Lakeland shop topped fluids last time I was there. So they checked rear seals and found them leaking as well. So I'm at Petro in Bucksville getting new seals and brakes on drives. Problem, tech has never changed a set before so I have to wait for daytime tech to come in and have them done.Sure would be nice to get a break from needing repairs. Lakeland never went through truck before assigning it to me and it used to be an owner op truck so who knows how bad the maintenance has been. Lakeland really needs to go through the truck and fix all the problems in one weekend... I understand they are pretty busy, but I don't make any money sitting in these shops.

Petro in Bucksville, shop is incompetent. Tech tightens wheel seal as tight as he can get it with impact, loosens slightly, spins tire, says yep it's good, and puts axle back on. Starts filling with fluid and oil is dumping on floor. He laughs, says he got in a hurry and forgot to put seal and sleeve in. Dude, I wanted to slap him for using a impact on a nut that you tighten to 200 ft lbs, back off one turn, tighten to 50, back off a quarter and you're good. He didn't do any of it and says it is his first seal job and it's how another tech did it, he thinks. Wow... I told him ro stop and I'll wait for daytime certified tech to come in. The way he did it, I'll have a wheel off and kill someone or be killed. So here I sit and wait.

Lol. Oh no. I swapped trailers and saw the leak as I inspected equipment during swap. It's repaired finally. I'm now heading to Pennington to pick up GP load going Marys, GA to drop before midnight.

My dm said they are hurting for drivers wanting to run this weekend. I would if I could, but I can't. I can't run this weekend or next. :( After that I can. I just can't these two. Oh well...
