If what you say is true you can get it removed grouchy. It takes just a minute to get a copy ordered and another couple minutes to dispute it.

When you dispute it the company has like 30 days to show proof or it gets removed. Since HireRight lost a class action lawsuit last year and paid out this year, they are gun shy and removing many disputes.

Well likeing a FIGHT might not be the best thing to solve your problem. Follow Condo Cruisers advise and you might be surprised how easy it is to get things corrected

 

Also they will send you a new one when the dispute is settled. Mine took about 40 days.

USX has a tricky policy of considering it truck abandonment if you do not turn in your truck at what they call a "service center". Which means a terminal with a shop and where orientations are done. They will also try to charge for truck recovery if not dropped at a service center, yet in many cases they just have another driver team a new hire to the truck.

My last year with them when I drove local out of the Kent WA yard. I had several drivers clean out their truck at that yard. Not one of those trucks where ever recovered by anyone other then another driver who was brought to seat the truck And after I told the ones who where getting out of the truck while I was there what could happen. It did not dissuade them from abandoning the truck in a yard that was nothing more then a drop lot. I even drove a lady who was a new hire to a yard in South Carolina to pu a truck only to find that the pedals had been sawed off by the previous driver.

The only proper way to turn in a truck at USX is to have a tractor interchange form filled out and signed by OP's or safety. Anything else could get you a black mark.

 

Can remove the words "at USX" from that sentence. Pretty much any company expects there equipment returned to one of their full service yards.

 

Earlier in my career, I got PO'd at a carrier and let them know I was quitting. I also told them I was dropping their unit at one of our manned drop yards, but not the main facility. I knew I'd get charged the mileage to recover the truck (about 160 miles worth), and I got a "dropped unit at unauthorized location" on my record. Didn't hurt me 11 years ago. Might be a different story today, though.

Even if they screw with your DAC, just work for a smaller company. I work for one that has about 80 trucks. They don't care about that stuff. They just want a good driver.
