    .43 loaded
    .35 empty

$13.73/ hour for any tankwash, unloading or loading time over 2 hour. $20 flat rate for up to 2 hours. We also get paid the hourly rate for traffic delays.

Layover after 15 hours. Pay 8, 10 off, pay 8 until you get rolling again.

$10 per night sleeper berth pay

Is this pretty much a standard for tanker haulers? Or is it above avg?

All of them are a little different but once everything washes out pay is dependent on how much work there is. One standard in chemical tanks is hourly pay over 2 hours loading and unloading. Some companys pay percentage. You should expect to make 50K/year minimum pulling chemicals IMHO.

Yes we are now at .46 loaded .38 empty. Hourly pay is terminal specific. It might be more out of Springfield.

    Buzzard2157 and Docpa7 Thank this.

Thanks so much for the update, wsyrob !!!

He's already gone to bed, so I'll leave him a note.

Another important question he has is: Does business remain stead year round, or is there a slow-down to be expected?

Thanksgiving to Mid Jan is pretty slow. In my 5 years the 4th quarter has always been my worst. 2nd and 3rd quarters are the best.

Despite what I was told about the slow down, I have remained fairly busy through the holidays. I will say the check I get next Friday for this week will probably stink as I only ran one load to Charlotte and have two paid holidays on it as well. I still think it will be around $500 take home which is not bad for only two days of work.

I will get a better feel of how things go in 2013 since I will have a full work year ahead of me. I started in the middle this past year. When things get back to wide open, I will save for the rainy days.

    Buzzard2157 Thanks this.
