I have running money a paid for tractor no trailer and no authority do not want authority

Is 25 a bushel for a 25 mile run a good deal? If not how much?
-
i was leased onto chicoda before & they're not a bad company. i know a few other hopper companies that if i got another truck i would contact & pull for as well, but that's just me. if u got ur own numbers u wouldn't have to give nothing to them right off the top, is all i'm saying, but u would have to do all the leg work for negotiating the rate, loading, etc.

I would call it a good deal...even if you have to bounce back it's still not bad. However if you have to sit to unload for a long time it might not be.san45bar Thanks this.

Going to transfer some wheat next week and beyond. Supposed to be in the 100's all next week so hoping A/C does well... if it stops working so do I. Years ago I had a Astro cabover with no A/C and it was a hot *&&&*.
-
Those had a windshield the size of a small greenhouse didn't they? I bet that was a hot ride. It hasn't been terrible hot here, just dry. We had about .4" last Sat evening and that's been all for a while. We've got corn about 5 or 6 feet tall and starting to tassle. Not looking good at all for this fall.
-
We got a shot of rain on Thursday over here, but it was really spotty. I got .6" where I live here in Fisher, but 2 miles west it was half that, and another 10 miles west on some of our other farms it was only 0.05". We're probably going to see tassles next week too. Most of the corn isn't any taller than I am. I'm 5'9". Yields are going to be bad this fall. Rainfall from here on will determine "how bad" it is I guess. We could still have some good soybeans though.
Is corn moving over your way RW? I think the ethanol demand has dropped off sharply lately. -
We had a bunch of IL trucks for wheat harvest this year. DCT or something like that. Anyway said they recieved e-mails about helping out Kansas wheat harvest.
-
Doesn't seem to be very many grain trucks on the road around here. We didn't haul a single load of wheat, or a load of any grain in probably 3 months. I do have a hopper for sale now, I'll put up an ad in the classified section, or anyone that reads this can PM me for the link to the truckpaper ad.
