Yup. I wouldn't have complained about a 3 or even 400 mile trip with it, BUT I'm going from Wisconsin to Georgia with it. I ain't happy. The load comments said this load should be tier strapped, but without a ladder and even if I was 6 foot tall I would not be able to tier strap it.

I was very mad when i got there and started messing with it. This same load I could have had it strapped, tarped, and bungied in less time than what it took to secure all this and get the curtain secure.

The ONLY good thing about this load is it's headed south and I'm supposed to be home by Wednesday. I deliver Monday. I'm praying ill deliver then go to ellenwood and get a REAL flatbed trailer.

Well back on the road after 3 1/2 days off. It was my daughter's 5th Birthday so I took the time off. Now I sit at the Pinecone Travel Center in Johnson Creek, WI. I come out Saturday to get a whopping 327 mile run that I can't deliver until Monday. Thought about waiting until tomorrow, but decided to hit Roehl with Layover pay for doing something so stupid like this! Plus layover pay is better than another day off. Love my family, but gotta pay the bills!

How is that possible? You would still have to secure the load the same way on a flat and then tarp it. The only load faster to secure than a curtainside load is a no tarp load. We both know at Roehl those are rarer than a good looking woman truck driver. There is no way tarping a load is faster than sliding curtains back and forth unless you are doing it wrong. I'm going to guess is was a steel racking load and the straps kept hitting roof and not making all the way over. The best way to have your straps rolled up is with the hook on the outside and hook facing down. When you throw one like this it will roll out like the old red carpet. It takes a little practice but you should be able to get all your straps over the load and under the roof without getting on the load. Once these are tightened you can use those straps to get up and down if you need to tier strap.

Did you have to load it or was it a relay? That sucks either way. i don't think the $60 for layover that they probably won't pay is worth a day with the family.

Yeah that's how I roll my straps, but i couldn't even get a strap through the top. So i strapped the crap out of it and its good to go. It took me 45 minutes just to figure out how to open the curtain lol
