I learned to drive in the late 80's at my first job off the farm as a truck mechaninc. In 2000, after turning wrenches for most of those years, I bought my own. After a few months of pulling meat from Nebraska to the Mex border, I leased onto an intermodal fleet in Omaha and am home almost every night. I still have the same 96 T600 because it has been a good truck to me and it is an ideal setup for pulling cans. (the good fuel mileage and lack of emissions are the other reasons). I do almost all the repairs and maintainance myself. I don't care how many years you've been driving, things are constantly changing, so there's always something new to learn. Hopefully I'll pickup a tip or two on here.
