I think and could be wrong that ohio changed it and they don't carry over score from failed test anymore, so you would have to retake all three. Again I could be wrong on that. On alley dock and this is from my exp only with the test- They have the class a and class b lines painted for the outer boundary line, set up your passenger side on the left of the class b and you will have enough room to swing around to get into the space, otherwise it can be tight. Again just my exp use it if it helps. Don't get to down if you fail the first time, some places are tougher the first go round as a money grab.

Truck about 3-5 feet to the left of class b line.

well i messed up the alley dock. i passed my pretrip with flying colors. and no you dont have to do it again. i basically went full ###### on the alley. then i cut it too tight and glanced the inside cone. then i was so worried about the pullup line i totally forgot how to fix myself. it is so tight there the guy asked if we had any shorter trailers. so i rescheduled for july 3rd. next text is parallel then offset then straightline. i will be aure to practice a ton before i go. plus this time it is at 4pm instead of 730am. i just kinda got dealt a bad hand and tried to bluff my way around it. so my advice to all you new guys is practice and get some sleep. i had neither and was up over 24 hours when i took my test and had a huge brain fart. the guy even told butch that i was so close to getting it. oh well i am not going to beat myself up.

Don't sweat is Sam sure u will ace it next go around. The backing can be tough at the state course, you get used to doing them at the schools and it throws off you timing and depth perception.

Okay everyone today is the day. My test is at 4pm and i believe it is the parallel park this time. I will be practicing in trenton today for a couple hours before we head up there. I would like to say congrats to Randy from my class he got his CDL yesterday and when he got back to trenton they tested him out into his own truck. So that makes 3 out of 6 of us with our own trucks and just 2 of us without our CDL. Jeff already had his and is in a truck. Scott passed first and is now in his own truck. Dave took a few tries but has his CDL now and should be in a truck in the next week. So its down to me and Brian. My test is today and (crosses fingers) pray to God i pass. Only issue is my test is at 4 and the BMV closes at 6. So probably not gonna make it there in time. Also they are closed tomorrow and i dont know if we will still be in Ohio on Thursday but probably not. So we will see when i get mine. So wish me luck or say a little prayer or both.

Well i did parallel park first and it is way tighter than i had ever thought it would be. i used my 2 free pull ups and then slightly nicked a cone so i had to pull up again. I was sweating bullets but i made the mandatory pull up count and squeezed her in there. i honked the horn and sat there super nervous. then he told me.....pull over to the next maneuver for straight line back... i was like WOOO HOO!!! i nailed it and the offset back. took him for an amazing road test and PASSED!!!!!! so they closed the nearest bmv so we asked and got directions to their new location. he said you gotta hurry cause they close in 10 min. So i hauled ### over there and had about 4 min to spare. I ran across the parking lot thru the door and said whew i made it. and the lady was like "well yeah cause were open for another hour and a half" lol. So i did it and have my licence now. all that worry is over. now i have a couple weeks to go and then its out on my own. maybe less time. we will see.
