about FH d13 engine... Yep, really, there was Euro-3 Version of D13 available in Europe, really D13 w/o EGR/DPF/SCR, and it is not all, for some countries Euro-2 and Euro-3 Versions of modern engines are available, like for ex-USSR and Mid East, but not for NA and EU.
Look, in Ukraine I can easily get any new truck with Euro-3 engine. Have you ever seen NEW ISL ore NEW D13 w/o EGR? I see every day! All Russian KAMAZ with new Cummins Engines are w/o EGR, they are of Euro-2 ore Euro-3 Emission level!
So all depends on local laws.

i did not except that you as customers are so unprotected
here if you have some problems with truck dealer will do anything just to keep you as customer
as you mentioned here most trucks on market have all in house components this reduce problems but even components which are not in-house they can be repaired at shop....
however things like fuel tanks you mentioned above are bought from 3rd companies , most of trucks manufactures use fuel tanks produced by salzburger aluminium , they dont longer build them for scania -

When you have a truck here that has components from a different manufacturer the dealer still takes care of it, no questions asked -
