That is true about eyes/mind. And when I first started with England my biggest bill at the time was my cell phone. When my students ask if I would ever lease again I make an ugly face and say "hell NO!". Once was enough for me.

So hopefully new hires can do their research here and get a good idea what they are getting themselves into.

I had to show him how to use the card reader since he didn't even know which card to use. What got me most was his attitude. I was nice and there to help since I remember how it was when I first started. But he acted like I insulted him. My current student is worried that he will get a trainer (p2) like that.

I can imagine the perplexed looks your reply generates. :smt107
I hope they appreciate your candidness as much as I do.

    One can only hope.
Those who turn to Big truck truckin' out of desperation may not be aware of websites like this where they can research, --- if they have the time and/or resources to accomplish a search. Even if they did, with C.R.E. being the only employer to offer them employment of any kind, they're apt to roll the dice and take their chances anyway.

Researching can be confusing, --- especially with reports from newBees praising C.R.E. prematurely, adding to the confusion, --- who don't, or won't, come back here to admit they were hasty in their assessment(s) when/if the predictions of those considered negative turn out to be correct, --- they do those researching a dis-service. I've lost count of how many wannaBees questioned the motives and sincerity of those who warn them of what they can expect to encounter at C.R.E., --- who believe that their good attitude and willingness to work hard will be enough to carry them through, ..... thinking that C.R.E. will appreciate them enough to treat them differently. Holding that belief they take the plunge, --- and immediately upon arrival inform us all that everything is great, with an emphasis on how wrong those negative reports are, --- then encourage others to follow them.

We usually receive a few more glowing reports from them as they progress through orientation, and even into training. Then, ........ all of a sudden we don't hear from them anymore. It's as though they've fallen off the ends of the Earth. I find it strange when those who seem to delight in pointing out how wrong those considered to be "negative" are, and how right they themselves are, --- just abruptly cease reminding and informing us --- never to be heard from, one way or the other, again.

    What happened to them?
My guess is that they're too ashamed, embarrassed, and/or afraid to set the record straight after they discovered just how right those who they thought were wrong actually were.

Those who are researching need to be aware that sometimes they'll need an ability to read betwixt the lines to find the truth. And when it comes time to decide, it's best to leave their emotions at the door, and instead, rely on their instincts and common sense.

C.R.E. would have us believe that there's some vast conspiracy to discredit the company for some unknown reason. And some will believe that bovine excrement. It's opined that Big truck truck drivers can never seem to agree on anything, --- yet they seem to be able to agree that C.R.E. is a bad choice?
    Amazing!
Unfortunately, according to the powers that be C.R.E., what they all agree on, ......... is wrong, --- and some will believe C.R.E.'s version.

Some folks only hear what they wanna hear, and disregard the rest. They'll shoot the messenger, without readin' the message. Easily confused by the facts, they tend to be guided by how they 'feel'.
Until it's wrong to be right, some of us will continue to enlighten those in the dark, --- gluttons for punishment that we are, --- accused of taking delight in providing negative reports in an effort to educate others, ..... even those who seem to prefer remaining dumbed-down and ignorant. The good news is that God still loves 'em, and so should we.
Ergo, we do our best, --- in spite of it all.

What are the odds that your current student will get a trainer like that?

I'm thinkin' C.R.E. needs more trainers such as yourself, --- who are genuinely concerned about their student trainees.

AfterShock AfterThought: I wonder if C.R.E. has hired, or fired, more Big truck truck drivers over the years?

That's about it. And if you're good at Phase 2, they'll find a reason to disqualify you and then start asking if you want to run phase 1 instead of being solo.

Weeks and/or months which explains why most end up leasing.CRENGLAND forgets to tell the drivers and students about that over the phone and they certainly won't put that on their website because then they would'nt get noone to join their happy team.

Whats the normal wait time on a company truck with England Depends on what your waiting on a CR ENGLAND truck for.

    1) To drive

    2) To lease

    3) Have it back into the front of your truck

    4) Have it sideswipe your trailer in the TS parking lot

    5) Or see it upside down in the weeds
