So I've been running back at Roehl for 6 weeks or so on the Midwest Regional Flatbed and I've got to say I didn't get my hopes up to start off so I wouldn't be disappointed, however there wasn't a need to. I figured the getting home every week thing was just something they said to get you in. Guess what? I've been home every week since I started, and it's also been on the weekend. Sometimes it's just long enough for a reset, sometimes it's longer. I've also been averaging about 2300+ miles a week, working 5-6 day stretches. The most distinct downside I can think of is going through Chicago 3 times a week, but I'm used to it now. I also feel like I sleep at the Gary Terminal twice a week but it beats the truck stop. Anyhow it's late and I'm rambling, but there's my input. Any questions or comments welcome.

garys not so bad, overheard the shop manager talking about getting bids on remodeling the showers and installing stools in each shower room. Im all for this !
hope they do this , but like I said just overheard someone talking. If gary can come close to what appleton has that would be great.

I heard the same from my FM. They're planning on remodeling the whole driver facilities upstairs in the near future. New Showers, lounge, restrooms and sleeping rooms.

That sure would be nice, Gary could use a facelift for sure. I would sleep at Gary alot too. I would hold up there early in the day, take a break, then make a run for it in the early morning through Chicago. Glad the regional gig is working out, I used to run Great Lakes regional flatbed, and I was home every weekend also. It was nice til the economy took a nose dive and the miles went away. Anyway I hope that the miles keep up for you.

Just reread this old review of mine and it's still pretty consistent now as it was when I first posted 10 months ago. So there's my update.
