Great. ANOTHER wreck on I78. What the hell, don't people pay any #### attention anymore? It seems like this is a weekly accident, including the fatality. And that's just sad.

Pay attention??? .. Is that a requirement to drive?... Hmmmmm... He was probably on the cell phone... and ONLY paying attention to the conversation # the other end! ..

"State police say Kumar was slowing for construction between Hamburg and Lenhartsville when he was struck from behind and pushed into a truck that was already stopped. That truck in turn struck another stopped rig in front of it."
I see more and more semis tailgating every day, especially on I95. You would think, that is as far as humans are supposed to be the highest intellectual species on this planet - you would think that after seeing repetitive reports of this nature, these same dim-witted drivers who practice this treacherous behavior day in and day out, would get a clue but they dont!
I know, the word tailgating was not mentioned here, so many would probably assume that tailgating was not the issue - and to those who do not think that driving too close to the vehicle in front of them does not fall under the catergory of tailgating, then get a clue! -
I would have to borrow the money to pay attention....

How many times have you seen in a cont. zone with narrow lanes and concrete barriers on both sides and here comes some idiot right on top of somebodies bumper trying to push everybody out of the way. We need to find a way to police our own. After 28 years I am seeing more and more dangerous idiots in big trucks. Just my thoughts, be carefull out there.

I'll second that Curly! Twice in the last few months I have dropped a dime on some idiot road-raging in an 80,000 pound weapon.
I haven't been behind the wheel of a big truck in ten years, and it seems that a good portion of the new crop of drivers don't have any patience... or common sense. What the hell is up with that?
I was on my way to Atlanta to drop my son off at the airport a few months back. We were traveling up I-85 in a construction zone, riding in the left lane because the orange barrels were taking up half the right lane and a lot of them were knocked over and rolling around in the lane. I was doing the speed limit, which apparently pissed off the driver of the Eagle Global Logistics truck behind me. He came within inches of my rear bumper while blaring his horn.
I stepped my speed up a bit and he decides he's gonna take down the barrels and pass me on the right. After coming up beside me, he lays on the horn again, swerving at me and trying to push me into the concrete retaining wall. At this point I'd had enough ##### around and floored it to get away from the #$%^'ing idiot.
I had the Georgia Highway Patrol on the phone by the time we exited the construction zone, but they didn't seem too interested in hunting him down, so I did the next best thing... Called EGL and had a talk with the saftey man. I hope the a'hole lost his job and his CDL.
To the driver of Eagle Global Logistics truck # ATL-6106: If you didn't happen to lose your job that day, then one of these days you might do that to the wrong person... and they just might put a deserving ball of lead in your obviously thick and ignorant skull.

After reading several accident reports posted here over the past year, I have taken extra cautionary steps to prevent my rig from being slammed from the rear and pushed into the tractor trailer that may be stopped or is rolling slowly into a construction zone:
1. At first orange sign stating construction zone ahead and speed limit, I put my flashers on and safely slow to just below posted speed
2. If there is an idiot truck driver tailgating me, I'll slow down my speed even more to slow the idiot down
3. I leave at least 200' to 300' following distance to the car/rig ahead of me -
