lol... Im learnin! Covenant tells us all one thing but shows us another! lol! we are lucky to get a shower once a week, unless we let a load be late! NOW THATS COMMITED CAREING! LOL!!!!

I have always been leary of the per idem. Most of the larger companies mandate it, even though, they tell the drivers they can refuse it. After you get your year in, make tracks elsewhere. But do your research, so that you will not hire on with another company they are affiliated with.

And per diem is not given "because the work sux" - it is tax-free compensation meant to cover the costs of working away from home. You can opt out if you so desire (after reviewing the differences, I personally am staying on Covenant's per diem roster). -
