you can get a 10 amp filter at the J/pilot also T/A OR Petro. They are not too pricey. I have a 30 amp on my galaxy that stays with it. Never know how they wire up a truck now a days. I also have a RF filter for the days skip is running over board....lol.

Brakes on my trl decided to lock up this morning going to my first drop. Smoked them pritty good before I pulled over. Thought my truck was messing up and stop to see the smoke coming off the trl brakes. Check them out worked the brakes a few pumps and let them cool off for a few mins. They seem to be ok now so not sure WTH happen. Now everything smells of brakes...lol. Well at 1st drop didn't set the trl brakes to give them more time to cool off. They still feel a little hot and still can't see anything wrong with them. They still stop the truck so they are not glazed over. Too early in the morning for a puzzle.

Don't buy the junky ones at the truckstop, I got mine for 23.99 at the Ch. 5 CB shop in West Memphis, Arkansas

Daniel have you ever had your SWR's checked? What were they? I like clean power and sound. I dont mind skip as long as I can talk back. Sometimes skip is over heard, someone who repeats themselves 3 times laughing. I heard John Deer many many times.

Ok mind you I did my own cal. on it. Ch1- 1.2, ch20- 1.3, ch40- 1.4. I don't get a lot of skip all that time. Just depends on the time of day, day of week and where I am at. Most of the time it is weekends when I am in the plains and all the big radios are up and running. I hear southern cali and amarillo while in Nebraska. Other then that is it quiet. I am on the factory cable but have put terminator 2 steal whips on. I get great send and receive. Havent had any complaints out of it yet.

Highway Man, did you make it to Denver? Does anyone know if they let you put an inverter in your truck?
