hi im new to trucking going to go to pgt out of pa. does anyone know how much there wallboard division makes a week??? and if they really get home every weekend ???? and how are there trainers???? thanks

I didn't think PGT took student drivers. Huh..guess I learned something. I met a few drivers who run with PGT since I don't live to far from the Monaca, PA terminal. I don't know about the particular account your asking about but the drivers I talked to seemed to be happy overall with PGT. Of the guys I talked to, the ones that get home on weekends don't always get a full 48 hours. You may get home Friday night and leave Sunday afternoon at times or Sunday night but that it typical. Unless it is specified, you pretty much are only guaranteed your 34 hour reset then if there is a load to go, your gone.

thanks for your input that helps. they just started taking students. i live in wv about 4 hrs from monaca pa terminal. ive looked at a lot of threads on here. i looked at btc ive heard alot of bad stuff about them. about the weekend thing that would be fine as long as i get to see my family.i went out with werner couple years ago they said same thing till i got out then they said well maybe 5 to 6 weeks thanks for your help steveB

Any wallboard drivers on here? Im curious about the division. What states do you run and product do you haul and home time?

I was told you have to do 6 or so months of their OTR division before being consider for anything else.

tdriver that not true per PGT recruiting. They hire students for wallboard.
