lol... Im learnin! Covenant tells us all one thing but shows us another! lol! we are lucky to get a shower once a week, unless we let a load be late! NOW THATS COMMITED CAREING! LOL!!!!

 

I guess it might not help to know that everyone gets a chance at Covenant! every rapeist, child molester etc... Covenant is the Walmart of trucking thats for sure

 

Yes I am learning, this company sux... and rescently I was chatting with and oil rig worker, A perdium is suppose to be like the company giveing you money to live on... at their expence. LIKE THEY KNOW THE WORK SUX! Covenant knows only how to screw you! and cares not to lube you in the process

 

I have always been leary of the per idem. Most of the larger companies mandate it, even though, they tell the drivers they can refuse it. After you get your year in, make tracks elsewhere. But do your research, so that you will not hire on with another company they are affiliated with.

 

LOL what? Even on my busiest week (7548 miles) I still had time for four 45min showers... You probably need to manage your time better when under a load, but until you figure out how, just set your PTA out 2 hours when you send a mac 8.

And per diem is not given "because the work sux" - it is tax-free compensation meant to cover the costs of working away from home. You can opt out if you so desire (after reviewing the differences, I personally am staying on Covenant's per diem roster).
