I love it here. been here almost a month i love not having dispatchers telling u they only have this they only have that or making u sit a couple of days thats for the birds. we do alot of LTL freight terminal to terminal sumtimes u have to deal wit brokers on other loads to get back hauls but u stay running. weights average around 26 to 35,000. 100% owner operator. once u get past the recruiters u would love it here. if u need a truck they have a few truck sales places u can go buy one with a down payment starting from $750 - $4000. u rent a trailer and get rolling. depends on where u like to run u can make $2.47 a mile

Thanks for the info bigtymer. I see them around Milwaukee and Chicago land alot.

I'd actually be curious to hear about where you're based out of too! If only because there are easily 30+ companies with the name "Road Runner _____". You can pretty much add any word about trucking to the end of Road Runner and you'll likely pull up a carrier with that exact name.

I was talking about RRTS. RoadRunner Transportation Services.... And what $2.47 he speaks of I'D like to know! -
I like everything I have heard about rrts, but the thing that scares me away is I have only seen one truck leased to them that wasn't a complete piece of junk. I have seen mainly old wore out century class shakers. Maby I am wrongly judging them but from what I've seen their drivers can't afford truck washes.

The recruiters are not very impressive either.
fr8monkey Thanks this. -
i was at the road runner terminal here in dallas yesterday but didnt submit my application due to personal financial problems. You do have to pay to goto milwuakee for oreintation and if you don't have a truck go thru cure, DO NOT GO THRU QUALITY TO GET A TRUCK. The company i'm with is faf and although i do not have a problem with them my problem is the truck. Been busting my hump just to pay for truck repairs. So from dallas to wisconsin is 178 and from wisconsin to norcross, ga is 122, 250 dollar down payment so hence, i need atleast 850 to sign on with them but due to being completely broke i cant do anything but save. I actually like faf but im moving to louisiana and it would be hard for them to get me there and thats the only reason why im even considering leaving. Other than that they are a great company. If you are a team, geez all the money you would make there but as a solo its iffy but they do their best to keep you moving even tho i made a big stinkie last week

so are u still with them ?
