Here's a recent citation for someone interferring with other CB users:
    http://transition.fcc.gov/eb/FieldNotices/2003/DOC-314014A1.html
except in this case they paid the guy a visit and issued a warning

You got to be kidding .....

" On February 8, 2012, the Philadelphia Office issued you a Warning For
Unlicensed Operation. On February 27, 2012 the Philadelphia Office
received your response letter stating that you operate a Ranger RCI-2995
DX CB transmitter which has a built in linear amplifier. You never
provided the FCC ID Number for the CB transmitter, as requested
    .
Furthermore, there is no record that the Ranger RCI-2995 DX is a
certificated CB transmitter. According to the manufacture's specification
sheet, the Ranger RCI-2995 DX radio is capable of transmitting with an
output power of 50 Watts RMS in CW/AM/FM modes and 150 Watts (PEP) in SSB
mode. These power levels far exceed the maximum permitted output powers
for CB transmitters authorized by the FCC. Furthermore, you state that you
have made modifications to your CB radio transmitter."

THIS came from the FCC ?

    1) TO BE A CB RADIO it MUST have a FCC certification number on " You never
provided the FCC ID Number for the CB transmitter, as requested"
it it is a tag afixed to the radio ....

ANY junor want a be at the FCC should know this ......

    O it gets better ....

" Furthermore, you state that you have made modifications to your CB radio transmitter."

HOW did you do that since it is not a cb radio ??????

    DUH ......

Is there a living brain cell at the FCC in Philly ?

OH, I bet the fella thinks it IS a CB radio. That's why he stated/wrote that he had made mods to his "CB radio"! :yes2557:

I agree! I sure don't think he would tell them that he is using a RCI-2995 if he knew that it is an Illegal radio. I know I would not if it were me. It could really cost him for telling the truth.

Yes I know this is an old thread but I cannot resist the urge to tell he truth about WHY many people in the CB do what they do in terms of illegal power. I have my license and yes I talk on both CB and HAM and I must say CB is more fun in some ways when it comes to skip shooting and on occasions HAM is fun but its really all about cultural interaction which is why most illegal users on CB radio just so happen to be black, If Black's and White's can't really get along in society face to face for long periods what makes the FCC think they can get along on the radio?
Who do people hang out with for the most part? Their own or other groups? We all know the answer and so does the fcc.
Its not to say that HAM should be segregated but it sure looks to me that this subject should be looked into.
I have spoken to a guy who knew of a black HAM operator who told me a story about a black HAM operator who was bullied by other HAM operators and to make a long story short they lied on him to the FCC and he gave up the fight and left HAM radio, Now it has never happened to me but if it did I would gladly fight and document the fight so that others including the FCC would look into the subject of race and factor that in their rule making and or enforcement.

Don't judge a man unless you have walked in his shoes and scream crackdown unless you want that man to follow you around and look into your life and judge you because we all know that no one is perfect and we all have broken the law for one reason or another.

So in other words Afrobat, you're trying to say racism also extends into radio? And therefore black people stick to CB while white people stick to ham and (maybe) CB...?
