funny how americans will tolerate and love anything shoved down their throats, thats a great attitude to bring to the oil field, perhaps we can blame the 17 trillion dollar score board on people like you too........"i get paid by the hour so i'll pay any form of taxes or bail outs my government tells me too as long as i can still afford my cup of starbucks!!......lmao off thats right!!!!!!!!"

Wow.... Who pissed on your cheerios ?
N172, Taino and Tractor7127 Thank this. -
The only one bringing a bad attitude to the oil field is YOU, pal. You're the one crying about having to set a couple cones when you spot the truck. Do you throw a tantrum when they make you set your wheel chocks to? Lighten up.Tractor7127 and Taino Thank this.

There isn't anywhere in this world where you don't have rules and regulations to go by. This is a fact, well known by anyone, that works for a living. Really my job is to do as I'm instructed and follow the rules as best I can. It doesn't take much time to put down cones or chocks.
Just because someone follows the rules doesn't mean that they are weak, or a sheep, or a follower. What it means is, that they are trying to effectively do what they get payed to do.
All of our jobs out here as professional drivers, (no matter where we are) is to be safe and follow the rules. Many will not and it will cost them plenty at one time or another. I have seen it happen to many times. Hopefully it wont cost anyone else life or limb when it catches up to them.
PS. Being safe has nothing to do with political persuasion -
i wish i had time to explain but ill try when i get a chance.......the safety bs out here is getting excessive to the point of being rediculous and it has nothing to do with my company who doesnt tell me sqwat......its the safety police unleashed by the oil companies on these locations and its a control thing......safety yes, tyranny no.

texas energy in ozona is looking for about 8 drivers for night shift, they also have bunk bed housing for the first few months.......its a good start and the main guy victor over there is a good guy who doest shove chock blocks up yur ###. if u cant get a hold of victor, just tell who ever on the phone u want the job and can start as soon as possible, you can tell them paul couto sent you, they may remember me, they may not.
truant, owning yur own truck out here is not an automatic gig. oil companies wont want to deal with 1 truck, youll have to hook up with some hauling company as an owner operator and the saturation around here has been driving prices down. i know a guy with 3 brand new petes ready to haul oil and he cant find any work, the work is out there but not directly with a 3 rig fleet. you may have to go to the new hot spot, where ever that may be......i hear hobs new mexico is coming back up or in that neck of the woods.
back to the chock block thing, its not so much the chock blocks and cones, its what it all leads to. you should see some of these leases i go, they barricade rig sites, its worm infested because they dont pay #### and experienced hands dont want to work in an environment like that. i'm making a long story short but guess where all that safety bs comes from......it comes from yur wages, the more safety, the less it pays and trust me, they dont giv a f about yur safety........little oil hits the ground and litterally 10 safety guys come and shut everything down, i got safety guys who shadow me constantly and slow me down with their unreasonable requests and demands, some of us have time sensitive jobs but they dont care. the company man has less and less power out here and the safety guys do. they are exact carbon copies of cops......ive made a few suggestions as far as where real accidents are waiting to happen and they dont fix it. one time i told one of them this is bs ill see you later, go find somone else to pump yur tanks, he followed me out to my truck and i told him i was calling my boss and tellin him i aint coming to yur location no more, see ya.......well this caused a rift that my company had to smooth out but guess what, the cop attitude changed......i still have to bow down but at least some ground was broken.
when i hear, "i get paid by the hour so i'll do whatever they tell me", those are the people who are gonna ruin the oil field. i dont want to see the oil field turn into an otr rookie butt fest and thats the direction its going, the field has given me alot and i give that demanding ##### all i got and i truly care, not just about her and myself, but most importantly, the next wave or generation of guys who want to work out here, skirts should stay home. the oil field is the last place in america that feels like america.......not the corporate scam game that humiliates people who have any common sense......i went from job interviews that were more like police interogations and duped misgivings and feeling like an absolute fool, to a place that says, "sure, you want to work, fill out an app and we'll send you to a piss test and then you can start......no questions asked.
wich world do you want?Gisquid Thanks this.
